Getty Images Unveils Enhanced AI Image Generator
Getty Images has recently upgraded its AI-powered image generation model, now based on Nvidia’s Edify architecture. This updated model offers faster image generation speeds and can produce a greater variety of images from a single prompt. Notably, it also enhances the level of detail in 4K images and better adheres to longer prompts, up to 250 words.
Expanded Creative Capabilities
The new model, which powers tools like Generative AI by Getty Images and Generative AI by iStock, can generate four images in just six seconds—twice as fast as before. It also includes new image modification capabilities, allowing users to easily add or change elements, extend canvases, or remove backgrounds.
Ethical and Responsible AI Training
Getty Images emphasized that the model was trained exclusively on high-resolution, licensed or owned images and metadata from its extensive library, without using data scraped from the internet or other AI-generated outputs. Additionally, the AI has been designed to avoid creating images that could infringe on intellectual property or artist rights, ensuring it does not produce images of recognizable people, protected locations, trademarks, or brands.
