Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg has joined the exclusive $200 billion club, now ranking as the third richest person in the world. According to Bloomberg’s Billionaire Index, Zuckerberg stands alongside Amazon’s Jeff Bezos and Tesla’s Elon Musk. Musk holds the top spot with $265 billion, followed by Bezos with $216 billion.

Zuckerberg’s wealth mainly comes from his 13% stake in Meta, the parent company of Facebook, Instagram, and WhatsApp. In 2023, Meta made $134.9 billion in revenue, and the company now serves nearly four billion monthly users.

In 2024, Zuckerberg’s fortune grew by $71.8 billion, placing him ahead of tech icons like Oracle’s Larry Ellison and Microsoft’s Bill Gates and Steve Ballmer. This surge is driven by a 60% rise in Meta’s stock, which has reached record highs of over $560 per share.

At the 2024 Meta Connect event, Zuckerberg highlighted Meta AI’s success, saying it’s on track to become the most widely used digital assistant, nearing 500 million monthly users.
