If there is an industry that can truly showcase the changing world, it is real estate. This is why many of the wealthiest people in the world focus on creating developments that epitomize success in the real world.

In this fast-paced, interconnected world, buyers face the challenge of not finding exactly what they need. To make an impact in this space, one must help people find precisely what they are looking for.

The real estate sector is growing at an unprecedented speed, offering numerous options that can sometimes lead buyers away from their true desires. However, the quality of leaders in the real estate industry sets them apart from the competition by helping clients find the perfect property.

One such leader is Anthony Abou-Jaoude, an Associate Partner at Provident Real Estate, who has made a name for himself in the high-profile and highly valued real estate market of Dubai, UAE. Understanding the real needs of people, he has become prominent in both the business and among buyers.

In a conversation with Global Publicist 24, Anthony sheds light on his journey and how to create a real-world impact.

1. Can you tell us about your journey in the real estate industry and how you became an Associate Partner at Provident Real Estate?

It was a challenging journey as I came from Lebanon in October 2014 without any experience in the Dubai real estate market, which was facing significant challenges back then. The journey started with humble beginnings, but through strategic thinking and dedication, I quickly rose to prominence. My achievements have been recognized by all major developers in the city, as I have been awarded every quarter and year from 2018 to 2022.

I was awarded Emaar Top Sales in 2020, making record sales of over 500M during the pandemic, and recently received the Real Estate Legend 2024 award from Arabian Business.

2. What inspired you to pursue a career in real estate, and what keeps you motivated? Can you share some of the most impactful projects Provident Real Estate has completed under your leadership?

I have always been fascinated by construction, buildings, and villas. When I arrived in Dubai in 2014, I immediately fell in love with the city’s infrastructure, landmarks, highways, and buildings. Dubai’s luxurious homes attract the wealthy, and I knew I needed to position myself as someone who could solve their issues to make a significant career impact.

Living in Dubai, the most advanced, safe, AI-driven, crypto-friendly city on the planet, I am constantly motivated by the blessings of being in the UAE during its Golden Era.

Under my leadership, we have managed multiple exclusive projects such as Polo Residence, Al Habtoor City, and milestones, among many others.

3. How do you think technological advancements are impacting the real estate industry?

Technological advancements are crucial, and with AI-based applications, our lives are becoming easier. For example, it used to take me almost two hours to conduct a proper study on a project, but now, with AI, it takes less than a minute to prepare for a client presentation. The future looks very promising, and I am excited about everything coming our way.

4. How would you describe your leadership style, and what strategies do you use to lead your team effectively?

I believe that you can’t force anyone to work; they either have goals they want to reach or are just looking to pass the time and make money. I am easygoing with my employees, avoiding micromanagement or pressure. I let the results speak for themselves.

I can immediately tell if an employee isn’t putting in the hard work from the results, and within 60 days, if they don’t perform, I have no option but to let them go and replace them with motivated individuals. My principles and work ethics inspire my team to strive in this highly competitive market.

5. In your opinion, what are the most significant trends shaping the real estate industry in 2024?

The market is continuously changing, with developers finding ways to secure clients directly without relying on banks for mortgages. We see many offering installment plans of 1% per month, allowing more people to become landlords.

A new trend emerging is lease-to-own models, which, although not new internationally, are relatively new to Dubai. Additionally, branded apartments and villas are on the rise, with major brands collaborating with developers to offer exclusive residences.

6. What are your other activities in Dubai?

I founded Dubai’s biggest holiday homes company, PrimeStay Holiday Homes, in 2018. I also run Prime Cleaning, a commercial and residential cleaning service, Prime Design and Furnishings, and Anthony Joseph Consultancy.

Additionally, I help brokers by providing educational content, real estate academy courses, online courses, and have authored two Amazon best-seller books: “Take Charge” and “Take Action.”

I am also the host of three podcasts: Dubai Stars, AJ podcast, BilArabi

1. How do you balance the demands of your role with your personal life?

To be very honest, I don’t have a balance. I am working from the second I open my eyes till I sleep, and maybe I work while sleeping (laugh).

2. What advice would you give to aspiring real estate leaders looking to make an impact in the industry?

The real estate industry is where you can make an impact. There are many different things that you can emphasis, and there are some aspects of real estate where you can actually be a part of the history. So, what I would suggest is to keep working hard and smart because if you’re not fast and smart, then you’re missing out on opportunities that you didn’t even know existed. And try to solve problems rather than being the problem.
