Cowboy Carter – Beyoncé win Grammy Awards

The 2025 Grammy Awards, held at the Arena in Los Angeles, celebrated the biggest stars of the past year. Beyoncé led the nominations with 11 nods for her 2024 album Cowboy Carter and made history by winning Best Country Album, becoming the first Black woman to win in a country category in 50 years.

She also won Best Country Duo/Group Performance for II Most Wanted with Miley Cyrus. The night featured several unforgettable moments, including a heartfelt tribute by Lady Gaga and Bruno Mars to those affected by the recent California wildfires. They performed California Dreamin’ by The Mamas & The Papas and later won Best Pop Duo/Group Performance for Die With A Smile.

Will Smith honored legendary producer Quincy Jones, while Indian-American vocalist Chandrika Tandon won Best New Age, Ambient, or Chant Album for Triveni. This marked her first Grammy win after a previous nomination in 2009.

Late music icon Prince received a posthumous Lifetime Achievement Award, and Coldplay’s Chris Martin led an emotional tribute to the late Liam Payne during the “In Memoriam” segment.
