Omoda and Jaecoo have appointed Gary Lan as the new CEO for their UK operations, with his role taking effect immediately.
As CEO, Lan will lead the company’s UK strategy, managing the expansion of both brands and strengthening their foothold in one of Europe’s key automotive markets. His appointment comes just as Jaecoo 7 customer deliveries are set to begin at the end of January.
Expressing his vision for the role, Lan stated: “My goal is to build on the company’s success by continuing to introduce new models from the Omoda and Jaecoo lineup, supporting our expanding dealer network, and engaging customers in both the fleet and retail sectors. We are committed to offering innovative, high-quality vehicles and delivering a premium ownership experience to our UK customers.”
With a strong background in the automotive sector, Lan has held several senior leadership positions before joining Omoda and Jaecoo. He previously served as Vice President of Sales and Vice President of Product Marketing and Brand Management at Lincoln Motors in China. Additionally, he has held director-level positions at Ford China, along with key roles at Jiangling Motor Company in China and Mazda Taiwan, where he contributed to market strategy, brand development, and sales growth.
Lan will collaborate closely with Victor Zhang, who remains in his role as UK Country Director for Omoda and Jaecoo.
